A collaborative team publication project, combining the unique perspectives and styles of 20 design students, telling a story about why we design. I was on the digital team and wrote about the functionality of design, and told a historical evolutionary development story, about how design started at the dawn of human kind, from the first mark making, to printing, industrial advances all stemming from the visual communicative abilities of designers.
In order to create some cohesiveness throughout all of our various articles and images, we utilized printer marks, folios and a CYMK chapter system.
'The Diamond Sutra, a Chinese translation of Buddhist text was the first printed document. Dating back to 868. Religious texts were the first writings to be mass produced.'
